This is a heavy machine, with a robust vibratory system, too. Ammann makes it easy on operators by integrating fingertip steering (FTS). Its steer-by-wire replaces the traditional steering wheel and allows operators to keep both hands on the armrests for improved comfort.

The symmetrical cab integrates four ROPS posts directly in the main structure and close to doors, not in the cab corners. ROPs posts have been relocated to provide 360º visibility, and sustainability is improved (and ownership costs reduced) through Ammann’s ECOdrop initiative. Crab mode, an option, enables work with off-set drums for improved productivity and compaction close to obstructions.
